

The Sunshine Precious Metals Refinery is part of a larger hydrometallurgical complex which was purchased in 2002 by Essential Metals Corporation®.
The Sunshine Precious Metals Refinery was first established in 1980 to process doré from Sunshine Mining and Refining Company's Silver Peak operation in Nevada. As the construction of other sections of the facility reached completion they also began to provide silver and gold to this refining section. Additional silver and gold containing feed material was supplied through processing contracts with numerous customers.
The Sunshine Precious Metals Refinery has the necessary technical expertise, facilities and laboratories for performing the required analysis to ensure accurate evaluations of silver and gold content that are consistent and repeatable.
The refinery processes material containing silver, gold and copper from sources such as mining doré, industrial precious metal waste, recycled metals and other types of high content precious metal bearing materials.
The Sunshine Precious Metals Refinery has widely been recognized as among the best quality refiners, with consistent fineness of 999.5 silver or better. High quality premium silver can also be provided with a certified minimum quality of 999.99 fine silver.
The Sunshine Precious Metals Refinery is a zero discharge, expansion capable facility that continues to escalate production. The refining facility utilizes state-of-the-art processes and equipment.
The refinery is a secure operation. State-of-the-art security measures coupled with a comprehensive security program help insure against product loss and provide for the protection of each client's metals. It is a drug free workplace and all employees are subject to criminal background checks.
Management continues to be dedicated to the principles of environmentally sound refining methods. The refinery is a zero-discharge facility. There is no environmental liability exposure to any of the refinery's clients.
